Shortly after buying Château Haut-Batailley in 2017, the Cazes family of Lynch-Bages found two unplanted hectares on the estate and decided to create an entirely new wine from them — Verso was born. The 2020 offers baked black plums, blueberry pie and crème de cassis with liquorice and cracked pepper on a firm-but-silky, linear frame.
